Meet Our Veterinerian - Dr. Amit Mittal

Dr. Amit Mittal is affiliated with American Medical Veterinary Association (AVMA) and Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA). He graduated from College of Veterinary Sciences, India and has a post graduate Master’s in Veterinary Virology (Veterinary Microbiology) from the prestigious institute (only first top 5 candidates are accepted into this Nation-wide program each year).

He graduated from UNMC, Omaha with PhD in (Cancer) Cell Biology, with Genetics and Anatomy as the research area of interest. He went on to complete postdoctoral fellowships from the world-renowned institutes of North Shore LIJ Health System and Boston University.

He has published several research articles in reputed journals and has received many national/international awards and honors for his work. While contributing to the research field, Dr. Mittal also passed the vet board exams and eventually certified to work as Veterinarian as part of the AVMA-ECFVG Program.

He has served at various veterinary hospitals ranging from low-cost vaccine clinics to AAHA-recognized veterinary hospitals. In the most recent years, Dr. Mittal has served in several veterinary hospitals across in Harris and Fort Bend Counties, with a wide range of special interests ranging from preventive medicine to diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and cancers.

Dr. Mittal’s mission is to provide quality pet services at affordable price to the neighborhood and adjoining areas. When he is not working, he loves to spend time with family and watching movies.
